Easycom Sticky Toolbar Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Easycom Sticky Toolbar (the "App") provides a mobile sticky toolbar and a setup dashboard for merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, and shared when a merchant installs or uses the App with a Shopify-supported store.
Personal information the App collects
When a merchant installs the App, we access and store the information needed to
authenticate the Shopify installation, including the shop domain, Shopify session
identifiers, granted scopes, and access tokens. The App requests the Shopify
read_themes scope. This lets the App read theme metadata and theme
settings for the published theme so it can check whether the Easycom Sticky
Toolbar app embed is installed and enabled. The App does not write theme files
through the Admin API.
The App can receive Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. Those webhooks can include a shop ID, shop domain, customer ID, customer email, customer phone number, and related order IDs when a merchant or customer submits a privacy request through Shopify. We use those webhook payloads only to process the relevant privacy request.
We also collect limited technical information that is generated when the App is used, such as server logs, request timestamps, IP address, user agent, error details, and diagnostic information needed to keep the App secure and operating. In the embedded dashboard, the App can store a local browser preference to remember whether the setup onboarding card was dismissed for a specific shop.
Storefront visitors
The storefront toolbar is delivered as a Shopify theme app extension. It displays navigation links and uses local browser behavior, such as the current page path, clicks on toolbar links, and scroll position, to update the toolbar interface. It does not send those visitor interactions to Easycom, set tracking cookies, use advertising pixels, or collect customer profile information from storefront visitors.
How we use personal information
We use the information we collect to:
- install, authenticate, operate, and secure the App;
- show merchants whether the toolbar app embed is installed and enabled;
- provide merchant support and troubleshoot installation issues;
- respond to Shopify privacy webhooks and other lawful requests; and
- monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the App.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information collected through the App for behavioral advertising.
Sharing personal information
We share personal information only when needed to provide and operate the App. This can include Shopify, hosting and database providers, technical service providers, and communication providers used when a merchant contacts support. We may also share information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect our rights, merchants, and users.
Data retention
We retain Shopify installation and session data for as long as needed to provide the App. When Shopify sends a shop redaction request after uninstall, we delete Shopify sessions associated with that shop, unless retention is required for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons. Diagnostic logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, debugging, and operational purposes.
Your rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar privacy rights, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law. Merchants can also initiate customer privacy requests through Shopify.
International transfers
Easycom is based in Italy. Shopify and our service providers may process or store information in other countries, including outside the European Economic Area. When information is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. The latest version will be published on this page.
